Name Recognition
Before anything else, even before I teach a puppy to sit, I like to work on name recognition. That means repeating the pup’s name, especially when delivering rewards.
Don’t take life too seriously – especially when training puppies!

Gotta love a dog at your feet. Canon had been chewing a bon on the bed across my office. Then, I realized he had moved to be close to me, which is such an endearing thing about dogs. They are social and love to be with their people (or other dogs), very often when they are most relaxed and typically also when they are eating.
