Melody is kind and friendly. She enjoys interacting with people. She also has an explorers spirit. I call it being “Polynesian.” In a litter of puppies, there’s always at least one that is very early to check out the unknown including looking and climbing up, over or into barriers that the other puppies simply accept as a boundary or insurmountable hurdles. She’s a pathfinder at heart, which helps her to experiment. I see it as a sign of intelligence and the trait lends itself well to teaching a variety of tricks or skills that come easy to such a spirit.
