Only Interested in the Photos???? SCROLL DOWN

The puppies are out of their whelping pen and are well crate trained, now. Since transitioning to crates, we have not had one poop accident in the house. Getting from the crates to the door in the morning still results in a few pee mistakes. But, for their age, they are doing great and understand potty and rough play happens outside.

The puppies have also learned that whining isn’t acceptable and putting teeth on humans isn’t tolerated. They also understand that jumping up on people is a No-no!

All the puppies have had several bath, blow-dry and brushing experiences and do well at grooming. Nail trims, routine wormings and updated vaccines have also transpired with all the pups behaving very well.

A note about the final photo of each puppy below: In case you were ever wondering about the process that is required to film 10 baby puppies from their first day until eleven weeks old – well, it’s a LONG story and a complicated process that, once the puppies are mobile (around two weeks old) takes two people – one to wrangle the puppies and the other to depress the shutter. I usually take upwards of 2000 photos, at each photo shoot, for a litter this size. And, if I’m lucky, I yield six or eight good photos to share on the site. I think it’s probably like a parent trying to capture a six year old’s soccer game and get a few photos that are in focus and the child’s face is showing!

When the puppies prefer to do a lobster (backwards) crawl, twirl, turn any way but towards the lens, the “wrangler” has the challenging job of trying to face them towards the camera- at least for a moment to get off a shot or two before it’s a complete “reset.” But, at this time, when the puppies have developed a relationship with us, the wrangler gets the opportunity to have a precious moment as he gets them into position for me to film. It’s still a lot of work, but, hey he gets puppy kisses as payment!

Lyric

Future Service Dog!

I chose Lyric to reserve as a future Service Dog when she was just 4 weeks old. Even at that age, she was already highly focused on people. She continues to impress me with her desire to please, attentiveness, kindness and creative spirit. Lyric will be an exceptional partner for medical alert, psychiatric support, physical support and minor mobility support. She will be a good candidate for a child handler, as well as an adult. If you have a disability and have been considering partnering with a trained Service Dog, please feel free to contact us.

Cadence

Cadence is a very chill puppy that doesn’t over react to situations. She is highly interested in forging a relationship with people and is also quite intuitive. She has a deep desire to please. She will be an exceptional family / individual companion and is kind and gentle with children. She also has the qualities to become a psychiatric service dog, ESA or an excellent Therapy Dog.

Melody

Melody is a happy puppy. She is very playful and seeks to interact. She has a strong desire to please. She is friendly and kind and will fit into a house with children. Melody often tilts her head when we speak to her – it’s a behavior I think not only means she seeks to understand, but also that she wants to communicate with her people. It’s a very endearing quality.

Rhyme

Rhyme is highly committed to forging a good relationship with people. She will make an exceptional family companion. She has a very strong desire to please. Once she learns a new expectation (like ‘don’t jump up on people’ or ‘don’t whine in the crate’) she is committed to stick to the standard. In fact, when she sees other puppies misbehaving, it’s as if she knows it. I see her glance towards the wayward puppy as if to say, “oh my… don’t you know you shouldn’t do that????” She has a strong conscience. I LOVE that about all dogs, but especially one that may be destined for Service Dog work. She is sweet, gentle, caring and intuitive and would completely fit in a loving family or with a dedicated individual.

Artist

Artist is a BIG lover dog. He’s on the larger size, making him have more soft fur to hug! Artist is a kind boy that wants to be good – which when you are just eleven weeks old is obviously impossible all the time – but he tries! Artist is tolerant, easy going and friendly. He’ll fit very well into a family so he can share all his love.

Riff

Future Service Dog!

Riff has been selected for Service Dog work because he’s confident, good-natured, creative and motivated to interact with people and learn new skills. He also has lovely physical conformation and structure. He has the potential to perform many different Service Dog tasks from physical to psychiatric support.

Rock

Rock wants to go! He’s the most active of the puppies and is strongly motivated to learn and partner with an active person or family. He is very resilient. He is driven to learn new things and explore new places. Although a physical puppy that may require someone who wants to keep up with him, he still has a strong desire to be right and please people. He’ll do well with an active person or family that promises to include him in their every day activities. In turn, he promises to be a very loving and entertaining member of the family.

Jazz

Jazz is exceedingly kind and gentle. He aches to please which makes me have an extreme fondness for him. He acts like an “old soul.” He’s pensive and I often see him observing and seemingly contemplating the goings-on about him. His laid-back personality and attentiveness to people would make him an exceptional family companion. He has wonderful physical structure. I would love to see him partner with an individual with a psychiatric disability because of his keen intuition, but he’d be just as happy being a highly cherished member of a family.

Canon

Canon is built strong and sturdy and is going to be a big boy. He’s bright, alert and intelligent. His loving, kind and attentive disposition tells us that he’ll fit well into any home as a family companion. He’s a “check in” boy that always takes the time to make contact with me before he goes outside to play. Canon would also be well suited for mobility support if that opportunity were to arise.
