When a new litter arrives – which is a most exhausting and utterly amazing time to spend with a mama dog – I will post photos of the puppies.
It is always my plan to post photos on (at least) a weekly basis. However, due to our busy schedules and the fact that I always put dog care before updating social media, it may be a couple days plus or minus from the previous posting of photos before I’m able to update the pictures.
I know that folks who have sent a deposit on a puppy ache to see the most recent pictures of their soon-to-be, new family member. I assure you that I do my best to post the photos as close to every seven days as possible. But, if you don’t see a new post of pictures, you don’t need to write and prod me. It only adds more stress to the stress I am imposing on myself to tend to the task of pleasing the folks I’ve agreed to care for these incredibly little souls for the rest of their lives.

Just in case you’ve never tried to get high quality images of baby puppies, it’s not all that easy. You can probably understand that puppies protest (often with great zest) when they are removed from their safe place where they snuggle up to their mama 24/7. I can usually wrangle the pups for their birthday photos, because they are exhausted from that whole traveling down the birth canal event and if I lay them atop a nice, warm heating pat, they will remain relatively still for a few seconds. Sometimes, I can single-handedly capture the one-week-old pictures without assistance, as well. But, once the pups turn 2 weeks old, it becomes a two person job.
Here is an example of a puppy we named Jay. He’s from a Kindred x Norma litter (2023)
